As an attorney, Caryn gained invaluable subject matter experience while routinely litigating before state and federal courts. Caryn handled cases in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts, most often in the Middle District of Florida. Caryn brings her rich understanding to help parties evaluate their cases in mediation and reach a resolution that they can control.

For years, Caryn has mediated and arbitrated insurance matters, including numerous hurricane claims in the Southwest Florida area.

Caryn has significant legal experience in matters involving financial institutions including, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and Dodd-Frank Act, bonus, commission and repayment plans, and The Broker Protocol. Caryn frequently handled matters for financial institutions in federal court, state court, and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

Disputes involving public entities come with distinctive issues that may have an impact on resolution. Caryn has handled various public sector labor and employment matters including first amendment, qualified immunity, public records, and collective bargaining which allow her to skillfully assist parties through alternative dispute resolution.

She has handled hundreds of matters before administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Florida Commission of Human Relations (FCHR) and other local human rights and fair employment offices. She utilizes her knowledge of the administrative process to help parties reach pre-suit resolution in such matters.

As many employment and commercial matters are submitted to arbitration, Caryn has vast experience in arbitration forums, including Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS), American Arbitration Association (AAA) and FINRA. Caryn is committed to the efficient and impartial handling of each arbitration.
